Bugs.
早起的鸟儿有虫吃。早起的虫儿被鸟儿吃。
I have no idea where this line orginated from, but I first heard it from my mother. I woke up early for a jog with my parents, and after, we went to have breakfast. I asked if we should buy breakfast home.
Dad replied with this: 早起的鸟儿有虫吃。
Mom followed up: 早起的虫儿被鸟儿吃。
I found it very interesting.
It sounds sacrastic, but there seem to be something profound in those lines.
This was my perception of it.
When you're living the good moments of you life, relish and remember it, when you're facing bad moments in your life, waste it, and get it over with quickly.
I have no idea how I have seen this side from the statement, but... it just appeared in my head.
My sister has another perception of it. Hers is much simple than mine, and easier to relate to.
No matter what you do, do not be the prey, or the one to lose out, in this case, the bug.
