The Fall of Single Feather...

*Clears throat*

It's been a while since I wrote something like this. Besides, I had this thought for a long time.

So, one day, while I was day dreaming somewhere, I had this thought of how the world works. What is considered good, and what is considered bad in general sense. I was wondering how we actually came to the conclusion that something is awesome or not awesome.

Unless, you're talking about Batman. He is awesome.

So, as I was saying, how do we judge if Spongebob is awesome, or just too stupid? Some people might argue that it is just freaking stupid, but I say because its so freaking stupid, its awesome.

How do we judge if a rare steak is better than a medium rare steak? Some people say that the bloodier steak is, the better its tastes, but others say that a rare steak is too much.

Most people believe that cops are good doers, but what if that cop is corrupt? Would he still be good then?

Ultimately, I trust it depends on the perception of the person. My perception of Spongebob is awesome. My perception of rare steak is pretty awesome, and my perception of cops...

To make it a little more clearer, I'll give you another example.

Computers. We can't deny that it is something that we cannot survive with nowadays. We perceive that computers are one of the most useful things in the world. However, to our grandparents, computers are downright useless.

Could it be because they have no idea how to use it? Perhaps. Or perhaps they do not have to.

In relation to my first question, I have another example.
Most people perceive that stealing is bad as it robs people of what they worked and earned for. However, I could perceive that stealing is simply another occupation. After all, I did work to steal the money right? In exchange for the high reward, I trade the risk of getting caught. It is not bad at all, its just that way I earn money to survive.

See it?

The Fall of Single Feather...

Students

I stayed went to the childcare centre late today.

I reached the centre at about 3:30pm, and stayed till 7pm. It was the first time I saw the teachers leave before me, and now the number of children deteriorated slowly.

I really enjoyed working with the kids. Talking about random, pointless things, giving a lecture here and there.

However, its not as awesome. I had the opportunity to see some teacher and student solo interaction. It was so funny to watch, and so cool to listen. If only I could do that too.

The Fall of Single Feather...

2 a.m.

I'm starting to like "How I met your mother" a lot.

I always thought that it was more a comedy than a romance thing, but it does have an actual plot.

I mean, obviously it does, but nothing this much.

It's kind of sad, really. I spent my time yesterday shaking my head, and thinking how sad it was. If I had a girlfriend like that, it would simply be... awesome.

Awesome.

They use that word a lot too.

Awesome.

I love that word.

Still, it is a pretty darn waste. That girl is really so damn awesome.

Romance

Mostly due to some nudging from Leon, I started to watch "How I Met Your Mother."

Note that even though I typed Romance as my headline, "How I Met Your Mother" is not a romance show. More like a.... Comedy Romance. Like those "Friends" kind of thing.

It's an old TV series. About 5 seasons, and 98 episodes long.

I'm pretty sure I got the whole thing.

I've watched 7 episodes so far, and he hasn't met his wife yet. However, something tells me that he won't meet her anytime too soon too.

Still, the show is pretty interesting.

Work

My pile of work is depleting.

This is so damn awesome.

Of course, a new stack is coming right up, but I feel like I'm getting the hang of it.

Somehow.

Reality

This sounds like my kind of reality.

After facing it for the first time, I felt like I can now truly appreciate it.

I am going to face it for the rest of my life.

It feels like reality.

The Fall of Single Feather...

Difficulty

It is a tough day today.

I did my first implementation, which came off not exactly as how I have hoped it would.

I should have gotten a practice session with a mini activity with the students. I would have imagined and know what steps are to be taken better.

Things cropped up. One girl cried even before my class started.

Then again, the objectives were executed fully in the end, and there were no injuries.

I have caused some problems for people too.

At the very least, I know what I should be doing in the next implementation now.

Despite all the mess, frustration and despair, I did enjoy today's class though.

It seemed kind of odd, but. I did enjoy myself.

Why? Why can't I simply stick to story reading?

The Fall of Single Feather...

OMG

I am so so tired.

Even though I enjoy the assignments (Yes, I still do.), There are too many of them to be completed.

And so little time.

P.S. Judgement day is tomorrow. Literally.

The Fall of Single Feather...

Joker

I just read the "The Killing Joke" by Alan Moore.

I have always envisioned the Joker as someone special. A special villian, with a special style, a special history, and a very special motive.

I have never understood why Villians wanted to rule the world. Ruling the world is a huge responsibility. You want to world the prosper, and people to live happily in it. Else, there would be nothing to rule.

What is the point of ruling the world? It's only that people do not want the world to change drastically that "Heroes" appear to save the day.

No sense.

However, the Joker, on the other hand, who does what he does in order to prove a point. And not just any point too.

He wanted to prove that the entire world is a Joke.
Batman knows that the world is a very bad Joke. That's why he never laughs.

The Killing Joke is a story about how the Joker turned into what he is. It is not so awesome actually, and could be depressing to some people. Depressing, at how simple it really is.

However, at the same time, you could really see how it made him what he was.

Later...

"It's all a Joke! Everything anybody ever valued for struggled for it's all a monstrous, demented gag! So why can't you see the funny side? Why aren't you laughing?"

"Because I've heard of it before... And it wasn't funny the first time."
