The Fall of Single Feather...

As a person,

I always believed that it was the duty of someone who is more skilled to help or educate those without the ability; for those that has the power, to help those who don't. To quote "Spiderman" the movie, "With great power comes great responsibility."

It is partly why I have chosen teaching as part of my career progression. It is not just that I am obsessed with encouraging people to improve themselves, but also I believe it is my responsibility. Hence, I have always greatly respected my seniors, teachers and anyone who taught me. Whether they share the same values, they have made a change in my life, and enabled me to make a difference.

It is also why I hate to say no when someone asks for help when I know that I can.

However, it does get tiring. I do need to do things for myself. Sometimes, it would be nice if someone actually helps me simply because they wish to. Sometimes, I do need to be helped too.

The Fall of Single Feather...

It has been a while.

Everything has been going so slowly and quickly over the past few weeks. Things has been catching up, but time has been passing in such a dull and relaxed manner. After a while, it seems that I can't keep up with anything anymore.

According to neuro linguistics programming, our senses, emotions and thinking are interconnected and dependant on each other. Basically, when we feel sad, or body gets tired. When we are happy, our body gets filled with energy no matter how physically tired we really are. And obviously, when we are sad, we tend to think about sad thoughts. This might seem redundant, but once you understand the link, many things would start making sense.

How we would be full of energy and still be able to press on after a day's of hard work. How, despite days of rest we still want to do nothing but lie down in our bed all day.

Next time, when someone tells you that they are tired, it could simply mean that they are feeling sad, and what they need is company. Do think twice before you ask them what is making them feel tired again.

The Fall of Single Feather...

Even though with infinite time and preparation, it is probably possible to do anything alone disregarding the quality of the results, certain things still require the consent of someone else.

Writing

Despite my poor control of the English language, I do enjoy writing. Wiriting is a form of expression, a way where someone can share their ideas. It could be told as a moral in a story. It could shared simply as it is in an article. It could be a discussion; an exchange of questions answers that actually provoke answers.

The reason I enjoy writing is because it allows me to share information with I might find other hard to explain. Somehow speaking makes everything seem a little bit more awkward and difficult. Writing also helps me to frame my thoughts. Reinforcing bringing out certain thoughts which might otherwise seem blur and confusing.

In order words, writing helps me to share.
In order words, writing helps me to think.

Similarly, these are also the same exact reasons why I like to read.
