*Clears throat*
It's been a while since I wrote something like this. Besides, I had this thought for a long time.
So, one day, while I was day dreaming somewhere, I had this thought of how the world works. What is considered good, and what is considered bad in general sense. I was wondering how we actually came to the conclusion that something is awesome or not awesome.
Unless, you're talking about Batman. He is awesome.
So, as I was saying, how do we judge if Spongebob is awesome, or just too stupid? Some people might argue that it is just freaking stupid, but I say because its so freaking stupid, its awesome.
How do we judge if a rare steak is better than a medium rare steak? Some people say that the bloodier steak is, the better its tastes, but others say that a rare steak is too much.
Most people believe that cops are good doers, but what if that cop is corrupt? Would he still be good then?
Ultimately, I trust it depends on the perception of the person. My perception of Spongebob is awesome. My perception of rare steak is pretty awesome, and my perception of cops...
To make it a little more clearer, I'll give you another example.
Computers. We can't deny that it is something that we cannot survive with nowadays. We perceive that computers are one of the most useful things in the world. However, to our grandparents, computers are downright useless.
Could it be because they have no idea how to use it? Perhaps. Or perhaps they do not have to.
In relation to my first question, I have another example.
Most people perceive that stealing is bad as it robs people of what they worked and earned for. However, I could perceive that stealing is simply another occupation. After all, I did work to steal the money right? In exchange for the high reward, I trade the risk of getting caught. It is not bad at all, its just that way I earn money to survive.
See it?
